So I was planning to write this post sooner, but I've been so busy these past few weeks, so here it is, for your listening pleasure... the best of Coachella 2013!
Having been my first time at the festival, I was of course very excited, and
although I could not bring any detachable-lens cameras on the grounds, I tried to
capture as much as I could with our smart phones to share with all of you!
:-)The best way I could describe Coachella is that it is the Disneyland of
music festivals. Upon entering the festival grounds, you’re greeted by an array
of large animated robots (like a giant snail, mechanic praying mantis, and a
life-size humanoid robot you can converse and interact with), a spectacle of
grand art pieces, and numerous musical artists among a series of stages and
tents. At night, palms are lit up from below with colorful, iridescent lights,
the giant mechanical snail shell glows as it roams the park, and the famous
Coachella Ferris-wheel and surrounding DJ/dance tents are lit up.
For those
of you who couldn’t make it out to the festival this year (have no regrets--you saved yourself money, crowds, sleep, and sweat haha) or for those
of you who simply want to re-live the Coachella magic, here are a few playlists I
