Black Swan

Exploring the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Urban Light display, clad  in sequins and black feathers. I loved roaming through the display and exploring the city I grew up in with people that I love. I wore this dress for a New Year's Masquerade a friend and I hosted. (And in case you're wondering, yes, it is the same dress I wore in the post "Swanlike"--I loved the dress so much, I couldn't resist! ;-).

Sailor Girl

Sandpipers scurry along the ground, the salty air adds flavor to my lips, and a cool ocean breeze runs through my hair. There's the sound of waves crashing in the background as pelicans fly overhead and  seagulls call out to one another from a distance; this is why the sea will always be my favorite place to be... 

For this playful look I'm wearing a sailor hat I got from amazon that makes me want to say things like, "Ay Ay Captain!" and "Anchors Aweigh!" a white dress from ChyCas Boutique, and little red loafers from H&M. 

Amethyst

I've always been a fan of rich colors and jewel tones, rock-inspired shades, and glitzy designs. I'm wearing an embroidered sheath cover-up by Black, and an amethyst tone monokini and matching leather & blown-glass bracelet and ring from Chycas boutique. I love tops like the one I'm wearing because they provide a great transition from beach cover-up, to adding a pair of shorts or jeans to stroll around the city.

It was love at first sight when I came across this black chiffon top! I love how the sleeve sway and fan out--almost like the wings of a bird. I emphasized the bird-like appearance of the top by matching it with some black feathers and peep-toe booties.
