In addition to my last, most recent desert-setting blog posts, I'd like to share one of my all-time favorite editorials--"What's Next"--shot by Camilla Akrans in October 2010's issue of Harper's Bizarre. When something strikes me visually, it's almost impossible for me to forget it, and such was the case with this beautiful compilation of bold animal prints, contrasting textures of soft, plush, and rough, as well as statement-making furs and desert boots. I love everything about these photos.

Vetiver & Spice
The scent of fresh pine needles, roasting fire wood, snow-covered trees, picturesque scenery, powder-enveloped mountain tops, freshly fallen snow--and the wildlife: foxes, bears, and wolves--all reasons why I love visiting the mountains

Forests & Sands
Ocean mist, sparkling sands, salty breeze, the breaking of waves, the ocean's tide, the pull of the current, pebbles, stones, and seaweed--this is one of my greatest love affairs of all; the sea.

London Calling
Dimly-lit cafes, cobblestone alley ways, dark-aged cathedral architecture, velvet-enveloped vintage furniture, checkered patterns and ornate floral prints, eerie hotels, and all-things-British--all are inspirations for these next photos.

ADIEU!
Et pour votre plaisir écoutant; I present to you one of my favorite bands, "Dead Man's Bones."
